Mardi Gras in Las Vegas

The following is a list of Mardi Gras specials and events for the Las Vegas area.

The Springs Preserve is hosting a Mardi Gras Festival on Feb. 25. The festivals will feature live music from Howlin’ King Crawdad, food from local Southern eateries, festive adult beverages, a stroller parade, a carnival, and crafts for the kids. This year’s Mardi Gras Vegas King and Queen, Heather Collins of Mix 94.1 and BoJo of Q100, will be on hand to take photos with guests, pass out doubloons and serve as judges for the parade.

The Las Vegas Mini Mardi Gras Parade is happening Feb. 28 at 7 p.m. It will take place on Main Street in Downtown Las Vegas. The public is invited to create mini floats out of cardboard boxes and join the parade. Participants will receive free beads and free bear. ReBAR, as the title sponsor of the event, is offering up to $500 in cash and prizes for best and worst floats. For those who prefer to watch, their will be Zapps potato chips, King cupcakes and Abita beer.

The LINQ Promenade will host a Mardi Gras party on Feb. 28. Starting at 6 p.m., guests will enjoy New Orleans-themed parades featuring, LED umbrella dancers, stilt walkers, LED band and more. Following the parades, will be live entertainment on the Fountain Stage. While enjoying the show, guests will receive swag gifts including koozies, Mardi Gras beads and masks. Also, various stores and restaurants will hand out beads to guests. The High Roller observation wheel will be lit in purple, green and gold.

Mardi Gras at The Park on the Las Vegas Strip will feature Big Easy decor, traditional live music, Cajun-inspired cuisine, specialty cocktails and more. The party will begin at 3 p.m. Feb. 28.

Carnival Court at Harrah’s Las Vegas will celebrate Mardi Gras on Feb. 28 with bands, DJs, dancers, thousands of beads and cocktail specials served by their award-winning Flair Champion bartenders.
